Last Friday, I woke up 8am to be early at the office so I can have an ample amount of time for Toastmasters meeting at 7pm.
Volunteered to give an impromptu speech about controlling fear and I made it! Wow such a bold move from me.
And the the following day, I woke up 5 am in the morning, packed my things and went on my way to SMX for Whole Day Training sort of about Digital Marketing.
I don't have enough sleep, I can slack anytime I want or chose not to attend these meetings and trainings yet I still find myself excited about these things. This shows that I value life-long learning whatever it takes.
Today most people are gone wild crazy with different ideas popping out to make this world a better place.
But most people only stay with their ideas and just make it a wish.
"I have an idea and I will write a book about it!"
"I have an idea, but I will definitely get back to it soon."
"I will start a business."
"I will develop a product."
The same with people who keep reading, and attending educational seminars but never started. Oh I was one of them!
I am guilty of not taking action. The last time I did something risky for the first time was to apply what I've learned in a financial literacy seminar. I opened up an account to a stock broker, deposited a not so large amount of money which one of my very first large purchases in life and tadaaa! I am now invested.
After that I signed up for a book writing course and published my first book. I like starting something and finishing it!
Honestly I don't like employment. Especially doing mundane tasks! Employment eat up my precious time that I could use for starting something new again.
Honestly I have a lot of projects in.mind.
- Write another book
- Start a business
- Develop an App
Nevertheless, I won't rush everything.
How about you? When was the last time you did something for the first time?
One word that makes people great...
One word that makes the world go round..
Do you know what it is?
You are aware of this already but we often neglected it and Seth Godin a marketing guru expert nailed it.
Starting is the only one thing that make ideas spread like a virus and makes innovation helped thousands of lives.
But when you start make sure to finish it. If you didn't finish it means you didn't start.
Now do you have a great idea in.mind? Start something about it!
